Kali.net giving away free accounts

This has been discussed in warcraft 3 threads but I couldn't find any other threads dedicated to it so that everyone knows.

It seems that kali.net's popularity has gone down since most games today have internet capabilities built in, but there are still plenty of classics that the only way to play multiplayer is with a program like kali. So temporarily (or possible permanently) they are giving away free accounts to use. Warcraft 3 is the most popular game played but there are rooms for many other games (like need for speed 3, duke nukem 3d, starcraft, unreal tournament, decent 2, and many more)...

Yea but why board a sinking ship when there are great alternatives like ASE?

Kali is good for old games but that's the problem, most people don't play old games anymore.

All the new games, and older games, have net play built in so kali is basically a waste of time. It's days are numbered. Of course, it's still good to play a game of networked tetris or pong every once in a while. :p

Kali.net. Ah, that brings back memories. MS-DOS 6.2 PPP app to connect and login into Kali to run Descent and Doom2 multiplayer. Those were definately pioneering days. I haven't logged into my account in a years, but I registered way back then.

I had a low numbered Kali account, but I haven't used it in many many many years. It's outdated. Just my two cents. Free is still a hot deal though. :)

Me on vacation? never :p Yeah I did put a link to that site and really I don't see how any of it violates any of the rules here. There is nothing Inherently illegal about it even though the mod claims it to be "illegal". It doesn't show you or teach you how to obtain anything through illegal means. All it does is show you how to get it up and working. Oh well that's getting a bit off topic. Kali's still good for those old school games if anyone still plays it.

kali has been giving away free accounts for months now. great service. used to use it a lot for rtcw and cs. saves a bunch of time refreshing all the servers because it updates the info automatically, rather than have to reload the whole list in the game

I pick it up this weekend for 53 dollars and it sucked bigtime.
So, whoever got it for free, good for you. enjoy!
