We don't want him executed because the drug you are using might not be safe...

He might get an infection or even suffer a little pain...

I thought the intent of execution was to kill the convict, not to make him suffer.

This lethal injection #&(% is crap. It is profoundly offensive to liberals because there isn't a nice way to kill people, and it's offensive to conservatives who want only violent and painful deaths for folk who kill, except of course for their own killing which they make legal. The very best way to practice murder, of course, is to have the law on your side.

As usual the left is upset that a someone who killed TWO people has been executed.

Meanwhile they have no problem with the killing of innocent babies...

I have to wonder if SCOTUS should get involved in silly season sillyness. The death penalty, IMHO, should be abolished, this case did not address the death penalty issue
in any way.

But its the height of stupidity, IMHO, to address the safety of a product that has the intended purpose of killing someone. Well Duh, its unsafe at any speed, maybe we could
address the crual and unusual punishment issues, but wait, this case only tested safety issues and nothing else.

Once again, the living and dying proof that its always the silly season without reason.
Beam me up Scotty, there is no intelligent life down here.

But wait, Scotty is dead too, so I am stuck down here.

I don't think the supreme court was formed with partisan hacks in mind. In modern day society it's a laughable concept that you'd find a person who upholds the judicial intention of the court.

This branch of government has clearly failed. It is nothing more than the maddening whim of a tyrannical majority. I say this now even though it ruled in my favor, because I know the political winds will shift and nothing more than the personal agenda of the 'justices' will drive it forward. United States law be damned.

Without a court to uphold the law, we are a lawless nation.

Yes, what a surprise it's another 5-4 decision with the radical right 4 and Kennedy the 5.

You gotta laugh at the irony though, the minority decision was based on the "safety" of the drug intended to kill someone. We aren't talking about old shocky here, lethal injection is about as humane as killing someone gets but the "safety" of a drug intended to kill is in question because it was made in GB????

Just out of curiosity, exactly what are the "safety" requirements for a drug intended to kill other than the obvious quick and relatively painless death part?

And for the record, I don't like the idea of the .gov killing any US citizen. For all those looking to punish criminals, life in a max security prison is far worse than death. Us reasonable people think that means our prisons are really fucked up but whatever.

It takes a real moron in the modern age where we can lock up folk forever to kill people for killing people. Sends an incredibly stupid message, kill people who deserve to die. Jesus. And then we wonder why............

No, because killing people has to be done with the maximum etiquette. It's vital that it be done without the slightest ripple in anybodies conscience. You don't want to murder people and feel any regrets. It could f up your enjoyment of dinner.

I saw a news release that Tarik Aziz (sp) or whatever his name was... the Iraq Spokesman that spoke out for his Country before we invaded them, has been sentenced to death by hanging by the Iraqi Courts.

Personally, I haven't seen a bit of opposition to his sentence.

I believe it is wrong.

I do believe in the death sentence, but all that are involved should realize that it is ABSOLUTELY horrid.

If it takes clean medicine, bunches of political/legal procedures, etc., so be it.

A fetus doen't have a brain, to speak of.

It's like squashing a cockroach.

Much different from killing a person.
