k8neo platinum + memory problem

I have the k8neo platinum with a dtr3200, when i try to use 2 sticks of corsiar xms3200 (512mb each), it just beeps at me, doesnt like it if i try to change the memory speed either (ie try going to 166 and then i have to reset the jumper just to get into the bios). Any suggestions?

Are you using slot 1 and 3? You should be. Also the k8n neo plat doesn't totally like the DTR CPUs.

1,3 fails miserably (even with my ocz), but 2,3 works for 1 boot, then i have to reset memory, board is going back on tuesday, have an asrock as a temporary replacement and hoping that the k8n-e will be the solution

did you try running one stick @ a time @ the given speeds you wish to run?

make sure you have spread spectrum disabled in the Cell Menu. Also, make sure Agressive timings are disabled so that you can use the manual settings.

I have no problems running my Mushkin 222 Special at the 2-2-2-5 @ 200Mhz 1:1.

So youa re having problems with botht eh OCZ 3700 and the XMS 3200? Sounds like a bad board. You are using PC3700 RAM (witht he OCZ) in a board design and spec'd to use up to PC3200. You are also using a dtr, which isn't really supported. Personally I would be surprised if the mobo did work with that hardware.
