Excellent :) I got my K8N-E Deluxe in yesterday and plunked my Clawhammer 3000+ onto it. A word of advice for those with the C0 Clawhammer: leave that 1T command rate on Auto ;) I had some CMOS clearing to do after that one ;)

But she's up and running, plugged into a yummy ~$850 D-Link gigabit backbone switch at the office. No big complaints to speak of yet, except that the I/O shield is quite thin (not that it matters much).

been running now for 8 hours at stock. no problems at all from the first boot. whew ;) thanks asus! only cut up my fingers 4 times.

a little confused yet on the chipset stuff i need exactly (is "nvidia ide" for raid only? read about some wacky issues http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?p=1026281712#post1026281712, but if its working...), sound and network are fine, had to force 100baset. i do believe creative labs' days are numbered - where is their "audigy" integrated chipset before its too late??

ps dig those blue LEDs in the sonata case.

guess it depends on how long you're willing to wait. i'd been waiting for some time already for the K8N-E (was googling on it about the time the K8V was released). you could also get an extended warranty, like say from newegg, which would let you adopt now and not ever be inconvienced, save for the effort of an RMA.

i think 1003 is in beta right now, as it isnt available off of any of ther regular download pages and the asus update tool doesnt recognize it under auto download.
