K8n-e deluxe+amd64 bits 3000+3dmarks2001 =9900 ?

asus k8n-e deluxe ,amd64bits 3000 ,sata 150 maxtor 7200 rpm 8mg cache 80gigs , ati 9800 pro ,boitier antec sonata 380w,win xp pro sp1 ,1ghz ram @400FSB KINGSTON ect...

Some people said to me ,that to know if a PC were has its full potential, benchmark could diagnose good or misconfiguration! And it is what I did with 3dmark2001!
The result was dreadful ! = 9900 points
Moreover at the time of installation of some games or software (ex: far cry) the installation periods is interminable, for far cry approximately 20minutes!
I compared with a athlon 1600xp and gfx5900 k7t266 pro2 (9000points)

can you help me please ?

whats the settings in your vid card properties ( turn everything to application properties )..

if you dont know how, right click desktop, properties, settings, advanced, then find the graphics settings, it may be you have Anti aliasing, or Ansiotropic filtering turned on - if so turn everything to application pref. and re try 3dmark
