Newegg just canceled my order for a MSI K7T-R, claiming the MB
is defective and being recalled by MSI.
Anyone heard anything about this, or they are bullshiting me ?
Is it the K7T Turbo-R? Yes, I've heard that a small portion of the boards were equipped with problematic chipsets, but most of the boards on the market are fine.
The IDE RAID has nothing to do with the problem. Here is the report in German by Chip Online, and here is the thread we discussed. To sum it up, there is only a very small portion using the defected northbridges with code 1EA0 and 2EA1. A great majority of the boards out there are fine. I dont understand why newegg.com stopped selling them.
