Can someone tell me what temp I should be at with this motherboard and a tbird chip?

High 30's to low 40 in degrees celsius, depending on the load upon the CPU.

My Thunderbird 1.1g ran at 41c at idle. This always seemed kinda high to me for a retail non-overclocked chip.

I'm running an MSI K7T Pro2-A with A T-bird 1000mhz OC'd to 1209mhz my idle temp is 33'C/91'F.

My T-Bird 800 (not o/c) reaches 44°C under full load but I'm going to buy a better HS soon...
anyway I think Niard's system is WAY louder than mine. 🙂

your probably right, my cpu fan is running at about 6900rpm but i'm waiting for my Step throttlebody accelerator card thats on back order.
when that arrives I will have fan rpm control and can step her down a little.
but even with side panel off case and case setting on a desk about 2ft from me it's not all that bad, just crnk up the speakers. Can you say MORE POWER....LOL
