k7s5a floppy problem physically hurts floppies?

i formatted a few floppies on my k7s5a before i updated the bios to the newest version that has fixed the floppy issues. the thing is, im trying to reformat some floppies to do a bsd install and i've tried like 5 disks, all of them have bad sectors or something. i wonder did the floppy disks get physically damaged or something? no way all 5 of them have bad sectors and crc checks. anyone else expereince this?
