k7s5a + athlon 1500XP + 2x 256 ddr problem

im trying to run this setup....k7s5a, 1500 XP, 2x 256 DDR 2100 crucial, seagate 80gig...

it will let me run 1 stick of ram fine. but when i put both in it wont even bootup. but it will when i change the settings to 100 FSB and 100 ram clock. i just upgraded the BIOS to the newest version, and it still dont work.

any suggestions?

yes. i tested both sticks of ram by themselves. each work fine, but when both of them are on the board together it seems to have trouble

The K7S5A can be very picky about RAM and PSU. I had 2 sticks of Crucial PC2100 and an Athlon 1600MP going fine with a 350W PSU. I think I've taken one RAM stick out and now use another 350W PSU. System still seems to be fine.

hmmm....is there any way to fix this? kinda a waste of 256 pc2100 jus sitting here...hehe
