K7m with ata100 problem

anyone tried to put ata100 hd with k7m? i got a beeping sound when i use it with ata100 hd. have tried to put it on a fasttrak 100 pci alone, same problem.
any help???
 
My K7M is beep happy, too . . . does it not boot, period? It just won't turn over and beeps continuously? If the video doesn't post, try switching power plugs . . . the one you have plugged into the drive could be bad, perhaps?
 
no, i put the same connector and power plug back to my ata66 hd, it works .
on fasttrak 100, ata 100 alone, beeps, 1 ata66 and 1 ata100 ok.
 
You have tried to put it on a fasttrak 100 pci alone, same problem? Weird!

Pull your other PCI cards out and try it.
 
yes, ata100 alone beeps even with fasttrak 100, if you think there might be a bad contact, why it works with 1 ata/66 and 1 ata100???
