IMO, the K6-3+ isn't a wise investment. Go for a KT133 board and a Duron for just a little bit more.

Great choice, unless you don't need a Duron, have many SS7 with K62300, am running several k6III+ at 600Mhz, the SISoft outperforms Duron 600, not to mention protected investment. Don't need a gaming machine, only business, about 200 of em.

Yeah, I can see where a K6-III would be better than a Duron. But I don't know where to get them. Have you checked pricewatch?

You can get K6-III+ thru auctions. 550 version running about $150-160. From what I can see 450+ will clock as high and go about $90. Good luck! (Love my III 400 (normal)@448 112x4)

Find someone with a icemaker on their frig, You never know what they use a friend said he found a K-6 lll 450 and changed it with a K-6 ll 350, I don't know if he is telling the truth but who knows, Now we can over clock the icemaker
