I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. Decent story, good action, characters I like, and even some humanity sprinkled throughout. Plus the social commentary is not too flagrant. And it looked nice in HD. I wouldn't have watched it if I wasn't already tuned in because of Prison Break, but I plan on watching next week...guess I won't be doing anything productive on Monday nights for the next few months.

Ya know before I saw it figured it would last only a few weeks, but it's got a couple things working in its favor: It rides the Prison Break momentum, it's got a couple big names, and it's actually a decent show. Hope it lasts.

Haven't had a new show about cops in weeks! And the radio ad where the black guy says something like "You know you white, right?" is not a social commentary. :p

I kid I kid. ;)

I thought, "Meh." For the last couple of months i have been into The Shield and The Wire. Yes all 6 and 4 seasons, respectively.

Hey now...I didn't say there was no social commentary. I just said it wasn't overboard. I mean, come on, this is FOX we're talking about.;) However, it was directed at both the victims and the government, which was nice. How Fair and Balanced.

The pilot had a 5.7/9.0 w/ almost 9m viewers. That's not too bad. I think it will last the season.

Didn't see the second episode. First one was pretty lame though, cheesey cop-action plot, crappy shaky cam effects, some bad acting. As a New Orleanian, I have to like that they're filming on location, there was only one (slight) reference to voodoo, and they've at least toned down the ridiculous accents TV/movies love to give to NO characters (Big Easy anyone?). I also like Anthony Anderson a lot in his role. Oh yeah and gumbo party? WTF?

All in all, I didn't like the premier, but I hope it lasts long enough to improve.

It was weird seeing Anthony Anderson as a "dark" character. I'm too used to thinking of him in his goofball comedic roles. Though, come to think of it, he was on that episode of SVU last year (a little over the top). He wasn't bad in this and the show itself was OK, but given the competition, I'm not sure how well it will do. Maybe I'll DVR it.
