K-Pop is heads and shoulders above everything else in Asia

Or maybe I'm just missing all the good Chinese and Japanese acts.

But K-pop from like Kara, Girls Generation, T-ara is pretty impressive to my American ears. Like, it's as good as Justin Timberlake or Nicki Minaj.

Meanwhile, just about every pop act from Taiwan or China I run across is some corny ballad.

I guess...can anyone recommend some acts from Japan, China, Taiwan that are somewhat comparable to these K-pop acts?

chinese pop is uninspired and terribad. it is known.

can't say i'm a fan of j-pop or k-pop either though, or justin timberlake for that matter.

The only good k-pop is the stuff on the topic of getting trapped in credit card debt trying to pursue a lifestyle beyond your earnings.

I just watched this video.

It's good.

Like, justin timberlake isn't like something that speaks to my soul, but I can at least respect the craftsmanship that goes into it, you know, it's good for what it is? Same for like Kesha, lady gaga, Nicki Minaj.

This K-pop is good. Like, it's as good as the top America acts, and in many ways better.

I don't know how you could possibly think that. All of that music is all generated by massive media corporations.

Its universally fucking terrible music

Modern pop music is unmitigated shit.

We need to go back to when "pop" meant David Bowie and Elton John and Def Leppard.
