K&N air filter question *link fixed*

i have a k&n filter (charger?) (pic...in the lower left corner...note the electrical harness coming out). Do i have any need for something like
this?

I copied and pasted the link and fred was right. For the money you're really not going to see any benifits. Don't put a k&n cone next to the exhuast manifold and you'll be fine.

I was able to see the ebay item and that is for the FORD Explorer.

Do you have Explorer? Your car looks like a mustang, if so, you may not need it.

You have a rubber boot going into the intake so I don't see a need for metal tube for it.

get a better sound, and a few HP's

don't expect asphalt shredding power from it.. but i got 7HP gain from mine on a 150 HP 4 cylinder.

it's really dependant on the car though.

anyone ever see the gains of a CAI for an rsx-s? yowsa, even though i dont like the car.

Do you "know" that you got 7 horsepower from controlled before and after dyno readings, or from advertising copy? Not only is 7 an odd number, it's not enough to give you a seat of the pants feel when you floor it..

It'll not baffle & deaden intake noise as much as stock intake, & that's where some of your performance gain comes from due to EPA mandated noise levels.

I have one on my 91 Maxima, & it's pretty alarming (extra noise) when you step on the gas. Just noticed my muffler needs replaced, will go with a high flow system & really make it loud.

Maybe I can weld a coffee can on the end of it & really look like a ricer


BTW, it replaces your existing filter & intake system.
