I've been to a local Florida store that is closing, and just like 98% of the people, walk out with nothing.
Seems all they did was transfer most of the good stuff to stores that are staying open, and shipped
all the crap no one wants to the stores that are closing. But the worst part is the price. They apparently
jacked the prices up over 200% on many of these crap items. They must be trying to take advantage
of elderly that think they must be getting a deal.
Stuff that you can buy everyday at "Walmart" for $5.00 is priced at $10 at the closing K-mart store.
Take 20% off and it's still way overpriced.
But then Walmart has the $5.00 item on sale for $3.00. See my point?
Heck, a normal sale at a regular store will knock off 20%-40%.
There also was a huge sign posting since store was closing, they would not honor the weekly normal sales flyer prices at that store.
So if K-mart flyer has Coke for sale at $2.00 a 12pk, you still pay $3.50 - $0.70 (20%) or $2.80 at closing store. RIP OFF.
