JVC Reciever 319.95 today only list 599

Frys in Manhattan Beach Ca. also has this for $299 or $323 after tax. It has a radio frequency remote and a USB sound input. I haven't read any reviews, but it does look tempting.
 
radio frequency remote? What is that? It doesn't have Dolby Pro Logic II or 6.1 sound so i don't know if i should get this. Anyone know how good this is?
 
Radio frequency remote means that it will work without line of site. Infrared remotes need to see the "eye" on the receiver. Radio frequency remotes can be used in another room to control the receiver.
 
JVC does not make very good receivers. At this price there are better choices. Technics 1050, Harman Kardon, etc.

JVC does not thoroughly beta test new products. Many people have gotten stuck.

This is no price mistake. The things just don't sell.

I have the RX-8010, the usb port is very cool, any audio on your computer can be played through your receiver using any audio program you want, rip all your cd's to your hard drive and load up a massive playlist, Rock on 😀

My home theater is all JVC components, TV, DVD, VCR, Receiver, good stuff.
 
There are bunches of these receivers on ebay. If you check the completed items many have gone for $275. Besides, Buy.com charges an additional $37.70 for delivery!
 
This is now $279 in the Sunday LA Times Fry's Ad.
I have read a bunch of reviews and it seems like it's a pretty good bang for the buck.
