Wow, 70"? I have enough screen-size with these 40" 4K UHD TVs I got three years ago BF @ Newegg. 70" is CRAZY-BIG!

I guess, if you're lucky enough to have a living-room large enough to show one of those off, then this is an insanely GREAT deal.

If you already have a streaming box or want to hook it up to a computer, Sceptre has a 65" for $349 shipped:

This is my go-to model for replacing customer whiteboards with data-driven displays (like from SQL or Excel or just a big cycling Powerpoint display presentation or whatever). Amazing that you can get that big of a TV for that cheap!)

Also, 70" is surprisingly not that big. I just saw an 86" at Best Buy & while it sounds huge, it just looks moderately bigger than a 55", because it's measured diagonally. That's why I tend to prefer going with a projector if you want to go much above the 75" range or so...for $2,000, you can get a really nice 4K projector with a 120" screen easy!

the 55" is measured diag as well i dont get how it only looks moderately bigger to you. to bad the projector doesnt look as good as a screen in any scenario, sure it looks good but not bright and crisp. using a gray screen makes it look better absolute darkness also helps but compared to a qled or oled. HA!

Nice price, but I wasn't too i pressed with the 42" JVC set I bought for our spare room when my 50" Panny Plasma (720) set died a few years back. Disliked it so much, I ended up buying a 55" Samsung 620(?) set at Costco and gave the JVC to my grandkids.

Was the JVC a 1080p model?

I've found - generally - that even cheap, crappy 4K models are still way better than bargain-priced 1080p models, because you have 4x as many pixels in the same space. I've seen some really terrible 1080p sets, and only a few not-great 4K sets (mostly due to garbage backlighting).

I had a family member pick this up, so I'll check it out tomorrow & see if it's any good!

Yep...cheap as hell...open box return at Costco...reviewed much better than it actually was.
