Sorry this just makes me laugh so hard since he is such a PC proponent. Who would have thought he is human and makes mistakes?

(Reuters) - Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau apologized on Wednesday for wearing brownface makeup to a costume party in 2001, an image that could undermine his chances for re-election with less than five weeks to go before the national election.

"I should have known better then, but I didn't and I did it and I'm deeply sorry," Trudeau told reporters on his campaign plane in Halifax, Nova Scotia, after Time magazine published the image.

It doesn't matter at all. There are different rules for those on the left that apply. Got any pics of a Republican or a moderate wearing it though ?

Also...that’s not “brownface”, that’s full-on blackface. That’s real dedication when you do your hands too.

Also, speaking of hands...he’s quite handsy with that cute dark haired woman...who is she?

Yeah I found that rather odd, I figured maybe it was just a crappy black/white photo and his actually was brown?

Because pretty much every single media company is reporting it as "brown face" for some odd reason.... I mean, couldn't at all be from a bias though right?

It's probably because, regardless of the actual hue of his skin in the costume, he was dressed as Alladin, meaning he was imitating an Arab, not a black man.

While i honestly don't understand at all the appeal of "wearing face" (and lol at the black and white picture like that happened back in the 40's or something).

I mean, while I barely like dressing up as anything at all, changing my skin color for a giggle is basically anathema to me.

Millions of people on this Earth and these clowns (although that would be whiteface I guess....) are the best we can do?

Not to get conspiratorial, but is this kind of thing a requirement to run for office?

Costume Party. That's when people dress up as other people or things. He dressed up as someone with dark skin, yadda yadda ya, "He should resign!".

I think it's ridiculous how people dig dirt on others and go so far into the past. Back then the world was not ran by SJWs like it is today and it was considered acceptable what he did, especially considering his intent was not being racist. It might be poor taste but it was also like 18 years ago. If they really want to dig dirt how about look at more recent stuff like SNC Lavelin. :p
