I don't think he will play Robin. All the teenage girls will want to see the "new Robin movie with the other old guys who are less important".
 
So do people here actually think casting Bieber will be a financial disaster for the movie?

Since Bieber has the most teenie bopper followers and if the film is rated PG-13, wouldn't it entice his fans to watch, thus profit? Or am I missing something? There clearly must be a rational reason why the producers would choose him for the role despite the backlash.

I take great pride in that my 11 yr old daughter thinks the guy is far to feminine. and gets disgusted that her friends like him.
 
I think he would make a good Robin. Bonus points if he gets abducted and tortured by the Riddler, who should be played by Jim Carey. I think the decline of his career would provide ample angst for such a role.

The movie sounds awful enough so far, that this casting didn't strike me as unbelievable.

Actually either Depp or Carey could play a pretty good Joker or Riddler, and of course Danny DeVito for The Penguin, Bryan Cranston for Lex Luthor, and Gary Busey as Bizarro Superman. Yes he's a little old, but under the makeup and cgi you wouldn't notice much... Besides Bizarro Superman is supposed to look a little ragged.
This is the role Busey was put on earth to play.

I can't imagine the movie not having any villains.

Justin Bieber is an asshole and living proof that you can take the hormonally deficient out of the trailerpark but you can't take the whitetrash out of the douchebag.

I remember an interesting article on why pre-teen and teenage girls love him, basically they're too emotionally immature for real relationships and "adult" feelings so they channel those urges into idolizing someone unobtainable (i.e. safe because they'll never be in a position to act on them) as a form of practice until they're ready to get the D. The reason they scream so loud at concerts is because they get each other worked up so much they have a sort of emotional orgasm, they don't know what to do with the feels so they just scream instead.
You will never find an emotionally mature "belieber" because that kind of idolization just doesn't happen with real adults (age is not a factor here, emotional maturity is), they have no need for it.

basically Bieber is a tiny mental practice dildo.
 
i wonder if the penis shrinking pills would be mandatory for Bieber like they were for the original Robin.
 
Hoax. There's no way a movie studio would take such an unnecessary risk, and what would be the point? Unless the movie is going to be purely aimed at immature females.
