Wondering how everyone thinks he did this in your opinion. He did fly thru 2 rings and was put in a glass box thing where he flew in. He did flip too. I seen this flying illusion in person before and it was pretty neat. I was on about the 8th row on the bottom floor! Got to see the snow effect too when he turned into a kid but we all know he did not really turn in to a kid and it was just a kid actor. But the snow was cool sense we were on the 8th floor it came on us! I even got to meet david copperfield by just writing a simple little letter to tell the place where he was performences at to give to david copperfield. He must of read it and agreed to let me meet him because we wrote in the letter where we were sitting. Sure enough when we were sitting done there they asked for my name and said after the show to stand over here to wait and meet david copperfield. I was so surprised they even let me meet him because i never would of thought he would of read that letter. But that one simple letter i did not even think would do anything did more than i ever thought it would do. I still can not beleive it tothis day but it did happen. Only one other kid in there was waiting to meet david copperfield btw. But i had 2 books of his and he signed them which could be worth something. Too bad he could of not taken me on the flying illusion. That would of be the most coolest thing. But it was someone else. Sure it was a set up person he knew hehe.

Well do yall think there is any new thing or inventition to make him fly the way he did? Or what ? Like without wires?
Yep i sure was on the 8th row on the floor. I do not think it could of been CG. Inless they had me really fooled but i do not think. Does anyone have any idea how he did any other cool tricks? Like make that train float and then disappear in the air after it rose? That was cool too! But i did not see that one in person. Yeah and how did he do the one where the card was on the other side of the window on the moving train ? That was cool too. Plus the changing places with the girl in the air and him on a wood platform where you could see under. I have not the slightest idea how he did that. And it was like really fast too. I mean really fast. You could see under both things they were in so i do not know how he did that one.
If the guy appeared to be flying, he probably used the same fishing-line like ropes (nearly invisible) that are used in martial arts movies to suspend the actors from the ceiling.
chickenhead then how did he go thru two rings spinning and put in the glass case with a top and then flying in that too while the glass top was on? Also how did he flip and carry another person while he was flying? But he did a whole lot of flips upside down and everything.
I have no idea what the show was like. I did not see it, I do not care to see it. If I saw it, I would be able to explain in more detail how and why you were fooled.

chickenhead i know that. I use to do magic as a hobby. You ever seen david blaine fly outside? Well he rose about 6 inches off the ground outside. I am still trying to think of a way to fly outside lol. But i do not think its possible. But anythings possible. Just not real possible with flying.

If you saw it in person, you would also have seen the off-camera apparatus that enables the trick.
If it's not CG, it's a winch lifting him up using the nearly invisible fishing-line type ropes.

David Blaine is actually just lifting one foot off the ground and lifting only the toes on his other foot.(still has his heel on the ground). It's just the positioning of the camera and the placement of the audience that make it appear he is floating off the ground. And yes at first I too was amazed at the street floating. I'm still wondering how he pulls that thing out of his abdomen(I think it's a string, but I don't remember).

they arent staged. He once did tricks do the entire dallas cowboys team, and he made some of those guys look like absolute fools. This guy aint an infomercial, his hourlong shows feature both famous folks and random street people.
I can tell you are a skeptic, but once you see this guy its mind boggling.
One of my favorites tricks of his was asking someone to look at a random card in the deck while he wasnt looking, put it back in, and then he shuffles. He proceeded to pick a card from the deck, throw it against the glass window of a nearby business and ask her if that was the persons card. Each time the card stuck to the glass like glue. Person answered no like three times, and he acts confused. Picks one more out, throw it, and its the persons card this time. Except this time the card is facing out from the inside of the restraunt glass.
Really freaky stuff.
Smbu is there anyway you ever thought of to fly in the air really high all around flipping, etc? I always dreamed of being able to figure out a way to do that outside somehow. I wonder if its possible. Plus without wires, having rings go around you, being able to flip, etc, people surrounded you, no cg, etc
