Just what I've always wanted...a fridge with internet access

you can access the internet to shop, download recipes, send and receive email, or whatever you like to do online as well as Hook up a DVD player or VCR and watch movies while you cook.

You can even tape your favorite cooking show and follow along at our own pace!

Flash games while you cook!

Personally, I'd rather just get a really nice fridge and buy a nicer laptop and use that instead.

How good of a view angle do you have (is it like the Inspiron 1100 or can you see it without having to look directly at it)?

phone line or broadband? There are still many people who think that "internet access" means a phone line.

Is it hackable? Can I throw a larger drive in it? Network it to play movies in tandem with my home theatre so that I won't miss anything?

🙂

It's detachable but it looks like it is straight on not angled, so perfect for all the 8 year olds. Why not a nice refridgerator and a tablet pc with a docking station? I still can't see a need to dock your tablet in your fridge.

*EDIT* oh, and the support calls..

"So umm yea, my internet's down"
"Does your system have an IP address?"
"Nope, but it's got a dozen eggs, some bacon, and homo-milk"
"....."

I thought it was common knowledge that the refrigerator would be the "brains" of an automated home...

This is only the beginning folks...

Makes more sense to just buy one of those little flip-down lcd tvs. At least that way you can put it where you want it.
