This movie was on PPV non-stop for at least a semester when I was in college (fuck I'm getting old). We had a hotbox and I think the tv either had The Rock or Spice Channel on non-stop. I'm still sick of this movie and can't watch it though it is really good.

I do a decent Sean Connery impersonation. The number one request people have of me? Well, to sing "I Will Survive" as Connery, actually. But a close second is lines from this movie. "Only losers whine about their best... winners go home and fuck the prom queen," is the obvious crowd favorite, but "this is not combat, it's an act of lunacy, General Sir... Personally, I think you're a fucking idiot," is a personal fave.

Good movie, but I still hate the SEALs vs. Force Recon cop-out scene. They build you all up for a special ops clash of titans, and then ruin the whole plot...and I'm supposed to believe that one broken-down old SAS operator and a young lab geek with no military training can take on a squad of Force Recon Marines who just wiped out a SEAL platoon in a matter of seconds without so much as a single casualty?
Don't get me wrong, I've watched it several times and like it...but I really wanted to see a SEAL on Force Recon cage match, so to speak.

well...SEAL team was located, on lower ground with no cover and were surprised by the Bad guys.
Connery and Cage were element of surprise for the Bad guys...
