Talk about a downer at the end, like Debbie Downer.

"What's in the box?"

I should've guessed that is the only reason that Paltrow's character had quite a few lines thru out the movie.

Tracy's Heart in the box? well, I don't think you can get a definite answer for that.

do you guys think that was good acting by Pitt at the end ? Where he was contemplating shooting Spacey in the head while still in disbelief that his wife is now dead.. ? I thought it was comical... makes me wonder how he's considered a good actor... or maybe it's just looks carrying him through... either way I want to hear your opinions about that... comes up everytime I see the flick.

I thought the scene was believeable. Given the circumstances, it's difficult to imagine how a person would actually react in that situation. I thought Pitt's performance was a good mix of anger, pain and sadness. Not his best performance, but I wouldn't call it comical.

He's not a great actor by any means, but he's definately enjoyable. After Se7en I went through a stint where I watched all several of movies up to that point. A River Runs Through It and Kalifornia were really cool, as was Interview and Legends of the Fall... I didnt even realize he was in True Romance because I hadn't heard of him when I saw it for the first time (even though his part was pretty small). Brad Pitt

The alternate ending had the other guy shooting spacey first and said "I'm retiring".

She's pregnant, there was a dialog earlier in the dinner.

He didn't know, so it was even worse.

of course it was her head. Besides seeing the hair... Morgan Freeman jumped back after opening the box... he wouldn't jump at the sight of just a heart... and neither would Brad Pitt... how the hell would he know what that means... ? The head works better.

Of course it was her head. IIRC, We hear Spacey say "her pretty little head" or something to that effect.

As far Pitt's acting goes, I think he's a phenomenal actor. I'm a big Pitt fan 1) because I think he's a geuinely skilled actor, and 2) He consistently picks good movies to star in.

I think it is her head, because Morgan Freeman jumped back in horror seeing her face.
