Just watched stargate: atlantis 1-01,02

this looks like a good series..although, I'm a little disappointed non of the original stargate members are part of it.

1: at the end of 1-02, couldn't the wraiths(sp) find out the last dialed sequence from the stargate? If so, then they could find Atlantis easily no? They may be light years away from it, but they could fly there right? If that's the case, the sg-atlantis team needs to find power source fast in order to power the defense system no?

2: wth are the wraiths(sp)?!? they look ugly as h3ll and they feed on humans? yuk!

can't wait to watch the rest! 🙂

he's only in it at the beginning as the new General...the rest of the show it does not appear he will be in future episodes...

1. The Wraith have already been to Atlantis, as they kicked the Ancients butts once before. They can't go through the Stargate because of the Iris of course, but they can take the long-way, which they are. Still, they're taking their sweet time, complacent in that if they beat the Ancients, these newbies will be no problem.

2. They're an ancient species native to the Pegesus galaxy that don't eat "traditional" food, but instead feed on human age. They exist solely to destroy, and that's about it.
 
Wait... did they start this again??? I watched it in the summer until the season finale? Did they start up the second season?

No the wraith were unable to defeat atlantis' defense shield but the ancients couldn't live in there forever so they escaped through the stargate and submerged atlantis.
 
I think some of the ancients ascended but most of the rest of them were wiped out.

Anyhow, I think the first couple of episodes were hard to get into but I got more impressed as newer episodes came out.
 
The best one is the latest one 1x15.... generally timetravel episodes suck but this one was really great. (gives you a look back at old atlantis).

the newer episodes past 1x10 havent officially aired in the US yet (only UK) but they can be easily torrented.
 
Yup, Atlantis has been pretty good lately.
TV-show wise, January will be excellent: 24, Alias, SG-1...

BTW, a second season of Atlantis and a ninth season of SG-1 will be aired in about a year or two.
 
I don't like Atlantis. The wraith are to gothy. And they made them to be sooooo much more evil than the Gao'uld(SP?) This show just doesn't work for me.

BTW I thought season 8 was going to be the last season, then they were going to do a movie.
 
season 6 was supposed to be the last season and then a movie... but... *drool* they approved Season 9!!? sweet!!
