Both De Niro and Pacino went down hill quick after this movie.

They aged yeah.

Casino came out the same year and that was cool.

You mean "Goodfellas go to Vegas"?

That doesn't mean it was a bad movie. I loved Casino. Though a little slow at times when dealing with Stone's character, it was great, even if it's been done before.

Great film. One of my all time favorites. I remember many years ago there was some kind of shootout with police in Cali & when I saw the news footage all I could think of was the final shootout in the movie.

BTW, I love the background music when they are robbing their final bank.

North Hollywood shootout perhaps?

And yes, excellent movie.

Thats it!

Michael Mann made some fantastic goddamned movies until he hit Miami Vice.

He's returned to Chicago to make Public Enemies so hopefully he can redeem himself.

Van Zant: What are you doing?
Neil McCauley: What am I doing? I'm talking to an empty telephone.
Van Zant: I don't understand.
Neil McCauley: 'Cause there is a dead man on the other end of this fuckin' line
