Just watched Derailed

Yeah it wasn't real popular when I played it at a friends' gathering and the rape scene came on... ***SPOILER**** I didn't know it was "fake" and neither did anyone else... the girls in the crowd didn't really want to watch anymore saying it was pretty sad (they went pretty far with the scene)... turns out they would've been glad to see the ending which would've completed the movie. That one scene basically ruined it for people.
 
i enjoyed it. i hate it when people say this but now i gotta join the crowd and say that i kind of pieced together what was going on pretty early. but i still watched it through and still liked it. i was actually surprised with rza's acting chops also. not too shabby.
 
Just watched it last night. Anniston is horrible outside of friends. I busted out laughing when she delivered the line, "Um...I think I want to fvck you."

Thankfully, although her part was significant, the amount of lines she had were not. I really liked the twist(s). My wife and I didn't know what the deal was until Charlie showed up asking for her at work, and he found out she was just a temp. At that point I said "that fvcker got scammed!!!"

The fact that Frenchie lived through the shooting made the final ending that much better. At the beginning of the teaching scene I knew he had to have the shank on him, but was wondering how he got it in and what he'd end up using it for.

Was kind of agonizing, as the whole time I just wanted him to spill it to the cop.

The cop clearly knew what happened. He had no interest in proving that Charlie pre-meditated the muder of the guy that killed his brother.

Good movie.
 
Just watched it today, I completely agree with OP... At some points the movie felt a little slow, but the twists were pretty good...

i stopped watching the movie after that scene... but since you mentioned it, i'll go back and finish it
 
how was the chinatown scene?? I wanted to be an extra for that part but none of my friends wanted to go with me to do it 🙁 🙁
