Just want to know if my laptop's graphics card is a good graphics card.

_____I have a Asus Q550L that I bought in September or October of 2014. It came with a NVIDIA GEFORCE 745M graphics card. All I want to know if this graphics card is a good graphics card. If this graphics card is not a good one, what graphics cards do you guys suggest for my Asus Q550L laptop? I am just curious about what other people think about my graphics card that I have in my Asus laptop.
_____Also, what does the M mean in the 745M?

"M" refers to graphics cards designed for mobile applications with typically a lower TDP and slightly less performance or headroom than desktop versions. As far as whether it's a good card or not, it depends entirely on your usage and expectations.

I just want to know in general uses if it is good. Also, a comparison to the general usage, if it is good for gaming, or videos.

If it performs like you want it to in general usage, gaming and, video playback, it is a "good" card. You need to define what is "good" before anyone can answer.

It is fine for general use and light gaming, but won't be up to running current demanding games. Laptop gpus are generally not upgradable, so what you have is pretty much what you are going to be stuck with.

The 745M is fine for light gaming. As for upgrading, unless the Asus is using mxm card architecture its pretty nonupgradable unless you go for a external GPU solution.
