If you don't have renters insurance, you better get some now. Call your insurance company as soon as you can. Most can start a policy right away. If you have a lot of electronics, make sure you pay extra for "replacement value" coverage - so they'll pay you what it costs to replace your stuff, not what it's currently worth.
