I saw some video of a guy cutting off the tip of his finger then putting it on ice. Not sure from where though

Not for the faint of heart. However it does show what a tradegy this tsunami really is.

The rest is just morbid voyuerism.

Well, it's reality. If you can't handle it, then don't go.

*shrug*

Bingo.

Agreed. They dont go out and make the videos - they just host it.

It is the reality - if you cant handle it then dont go to the site and watch the pictures and videos.

I think it shows a much more realistic side of life that the US Media will never show at least in our lifetime - and I like to be aware of this side of reality - thats why I go to that site.

The motto is "can you handle reality". Says it all really.

But yes, it does sicken the stomach to see what we humans do to one another, and we're talking right now: 2004/5 not the middle ages.

Reality is when you live it.

Would be interesting to see how proud we would be of our little war if every adult had to participate in the killing and being shot at.

These sites are just vouyerism.

definitely shows how unrealistic holywood movies (movies in general?) are when it comes to death/gore

meh,
that stuff doesnt bother me at all. For some reasons the only thing that make me cringe is pictures of vertebrea fractures. The unnatural shape of the back when that happens (basically a kink) definitely turns my stomach.

Oh my dear god. That totally puts the disaster into perspective. That image brought tears to my eyes...

Here is the link... it is a far away shot, so nothing real bad...

Man... That just makes me feel terrible. And I have not a care in the world... yet those people will be impacted by this for the rest of their lives.

yeah that one took me by surprise.... horrible :(

I do. That stuff is the real world, not the sugar-coated crap we have on American TV and newspapers. It's very humbling to see the horrors that the rest of the world goes through and it makes me very thankful for the pleasant life that I have.

meh it has its place. sometimes you want to see what the media censors to get a real idea of what happened. that phuket beach pics shows just how many people died... the bodies are like practically piled on each other.

Why not? I think that if every American saw what those terrorists are capable of, they might change their tune on Iraq. Hiding from the truth doesn't make it go away.
