It was a 15inch with 1024x768 max resolution. The color and glare seemed to be much better than a CRT. The screen didn't hurt my eyes after a little bit either. There did appear to be a little fuzzyness (sp?) on Windows apps. However, I played NFS: Porsche Unleashed and that looked great. I'll be looking for a monitor around Christmas time hopefully and I think I'd rather have the 15" LCD over a 19" CRT. Opinions?

-Edit-

Has anybody seen any really good deals on these yet?

I use auto adjust on my LCD when I first go it.
It remove all fuzzyness on my Screen since it will
adjust the clock, phase, and geometry automatically.

Oh ok, then the LCD seems to be flawless now:D The fuzzyness was the only problem I saw with it.

15" LCDs are dirt cheap right now... go look at the Hot Deals forum. Sigh, I paid $1000+ for mine 3 years ago. Yeah, adjusting the clock and phase usually gets rid of the fuzziness. The best way I've found is to open the Windows shutdown dialog so the background is that transparent grey color and mess with the settings until the background is clear and stable.

Once you switch, you will never go back. If you can find a good deal on an 18.1, it is actually a little larger than a 19" monitor.

i quake, cs, ut and lots of others on my viewsonic vg181 with no trouble at all.
by the way, i think that digital input is really the way to go with lcd panel displays.
no adjustments at all and most modern video cards come with that option
i have a visiontek gf2u and aiw radeon and both work great.

I use eizo flexscan l771
it doesn't have any digital input, it is strange
not to put a digital input on their top lcd line.

they have a software that can help you adjust your lcd.
I don't know if other brand have those software, I think
you can use eizo software though. its purpose
is only to display a background.

the reason why LCD's do not give you headaches and stuff is because they do not redraw every pixel when a refresh happens but only the pixels that have changed scince the previous image .. this is much better for your eyes but also can have a very annoying effect called ghosting .. LCD's work with internal circuitry and can have a slow reaction speed, this can give a risidual image, modern monitors mostly do not have this problem (unless it is el-cheapo) but you might want to ask if you may try the monitor with some game or so before you buy it ..

I saw the "ghosting" just using Windows so I went into a game and it was crystal clear. Hopefully when I get one I can just change a few settings (from above posts) and it will be fine. That's when I get one though:) One day...

I've played with a few LCD monitors recently.
the lower end 15 inchers have a significantly slower reaction time than any CRTs. so even if you're scrolling down on a website, you'll see that every blurs pretty badly. if you're willing to go up a notch, then the blurring starts going away. But nothing can match the reaction time of a quality CRT. Generally, I like CRTs for 3D gaming, and LCDs for general stuff (surfing, word processing, spreadsheets, photo-editing).
