I know I've seen how to do this, but I can't seem to get anytihng working.

I'm running Win2K pro on my computer, which I've got internet on VIA cable.

I want to be able to connect mulitple other computers to mine, and I've got a hub.

I added a second NIC to my computer, and connected that to my hub.

I've got the hub then connected to the other computer in my house, which is running Win98se.

They have the same workgroup name and different computer names.

I can't get them to see each other, what do I need to do?

Thanks :)

run ICS on the computer with two NICS.

Either search google, the forums, or the Anandtech faqs for ICS + Internet sharing.

Maybe I should clarify, I can't get them to even network to each other yet... in addition to what I've said above I now know all of my cables are fine.

Step 1: For the propose of the initial setting, disable all software Firewall (including WinXP native
ICF); disable any active Virus scan or any other utility that might intercept
Network Traffic.

Step 2: Look in Control Panel / Network Connections, and make sure that the drivers are installed, and there is no hardware conflict.

Step 3: Recheck all Network settings in the Control Panel Network Connections. T5.[/b]

Then look at content of the following links:

Windows XP Simple File Sharing

Windows XP Professional File Sharing.

XP File Sharing Trouble

============================================

If you spend too much time and it does not work.

Install NetBEUI, better chance there no IPs.

Just in case, instructions to find and install NetBEUI are here:

Where is NETBEUI in WinXP?

After Install NetBEUI appears in the list of available protocol, there in no properties for NetBEUI since there is nothing to configure.

Make NetBEUI Default, and the sharing protocol in WinXP.

Right-click on the:

"My Network Places" on the desktop to display the "Network Properties"

In the Network Properties Window, pull the Advance Menu, and click on advanced settings.

Choose the Adapters, and Bindings tab.

Hi-lite Local Area Connection.

The lower part of the windows shows you the available Share and Protocol.

NetBEUI has to be in first position in both settings, to be Default Protocol.

You make it first by Hi-lite NetBEUI, and move it up using the Arrow on the right side.

Uncheck the TCP/IP binding from Sharing.

============================================================
BTW. Since NetBEUI is not Routable to the Internet, your Hard Drive will stay private.

So we aren't talking about Internet sharing yet? Give us the rundown of your entire network (ASCII art would help ;)). and the output of `ipconfig /all` on each computer.
