The dealer also said he would be getting WRX STi on March starting at 34K!! WTF??

My advice...

Forget a WRX. GO Lancer Evo VII. Little more performance, but not as good of build quality as WRX (So I'm told)

Dump the RX-8. Take the money and get an RX-7 3rd Gen. 😉

Naw, seriously though. I'm not a fan of the RX-8. The RX-7 is like my all time favorite car, so it isnt a "I hate Mazda" kinda thing. Its more of a "I hate Mazda for what they did to the RX-7" kinda thing. 😀
 
The RX8 has no friggin' torque and it looks kinda weird. But different strokes for different folks, congrats 😀
 
OooOOooohhh... i love the RX-7... but i doubt he'll want to put that much money on a 10 year old car. I'm saving up for a car and thats one of them that i'm looking at. He'll probably end up spending $34K to buy the car and get it running right... but when it does run...oOOooOhhh... not that many cars can give you a driving experience like that car can.

There will be an Evo VII bandwagon soon... with every rich ricer buying that car. 🙁

Damn straight. Kinda like every reasonably successful guy in his mid 20's wants to get a WRX now to pretend he's a weekend rally racer you'll see the same in the Lancer.
 
I have heard sticker for the first year of the WRX STi. Kind of sucks but I wasn't planning on getting on till summer of 04.

Trust me..... He will be jumping like a mofo if I tell him I want a refund. Basically Mazda allocates specific number of RX-8 per dealer. The thing is that if the dealer can get pre-orders with deposits Mazda will allocate the standard number + whatever pre-orders the dealer gets. The guy basically said that he doesn't care if people ask for refunds because he knows he will sell all of them at MSRP + 10K. I said corporates don;t allow price jacking on new cars (ie 350Z). He then basically tells me that dealers don;t give a fvck 😕

M5's went for 10k+ sticker when they first came out. It isn't unheard of.

The new Tbird was way over sticker too. So was the PT Cruiser *shudder* IIRC.

I remember when the Honda S2000 came out....me and my friend went over to the deal and saw the sticker ...
~32,000 for the car, with a whopping 15,000 extra for a pinstripe and special paint protector that wasn't even on the freakin car.
