You know, its really sad that that show is on Nick at Nite. I remember back in the day when like Taxi and Dick Van *** were on it. Even Family Ties and Wonder Years...

What is even worse is that back in the day, Nick at Nite didn't exist, & those shows were on prime time! :Q

Agreed. Everything is one-liners but for some reason it's funny.

Wonder Years is another great one. But N@N is moving through the times. They're pretty much staying one generation behind the current shows. So maybe in five to seven years or so we'll be seeing shows like Seinfeld and Friends on it.

The reason it worked is because will smith's character both demanded self-respect and yet did everything to lose it but didn;t care. He was the usually-omnicient voice telling us to 'point-and laugh' brought out in public for all to see and laugh with.

He galvanized a blossiming genre making it ripe for countless no talent-hacks to take advantage of and ruin in the years to come.

That's a good way to put it.

It did get better as they got older. I just like all of Will's one-liners, either about black people, or Carlton being small, or how he's going to drive down to the mall in his honey wagon to load it with honies.

The thing is that they always kept it innocent o kids and adults could both enjoy it.

For the astute: "heh, honies.....naming his women after bee regurgitation...'Hey Agnes, come see this, it is a riot!'

for the gangsters: "oah yeah...damn fool is gonna go back his wheels with some of d'em honies"

for the regular kinds: "heh, he is being irressponsible."

Yep, good that it was always a clean show, too.

A favorite line of mine (Will speaking to a honey): "I just wanted to give you notice that I was noticing you and that I noticed you noticing me, too."
