just talked to an irish woman

called the doctors, waited 10 minutes, and finally this irish woman answered the phone

i was literally mesmerised by her voice

i dont even remember what she told me, but it was amazing

i've had that happen to me too. spoke to an indian lady with a thick british accent and became a bumbling fool. she just sounded so gorgeous.

I dig chicks with accents. Particularly British and Irish and even Scottish like Kelly Macdonald.

British, or Indian-British?

Personally, a female British accent is hot, but not an Indian accent (imho) - but I'm also highly turned off by most Indians. No offense if you are one or if anyone is easily offended, but we all have our preferences. 😉

Chatted with a Kiwi a few times - think Nicole Kidman as a brunette, and about 3" taller. Couldn't understand half of what she said, so I just kept saying "Yep, uh huh, ... yeaaaa".

*headslap*

Ha! I'm the same way with British accents. Anyone with a British accent automatically sounds 30x more intelligent and sexy 😀

Next time, charm her with a bit of romantic Gaelic - Fáilte, póg mo thóin. It's pronounced "fall shuh, pogue ma hoe-in."

Jesus christ I hope this post was a joke, either that or this is an example of americans lack of common knowledge / sense.

It's the British vs English thing that's bothering you, isn't it? :hmm:

If it helps, there isn't such a thing as an "American accent". It's all regional here.

It's the "Oh I love British accents, and Scottish accents"

😡

Scottish people are British.

British people aren't English.

Yeah, we aren't that informed here. To most Americans, British accent is the standard English accent you hear from most BBC correspondents, just like how our American accent is best represented by the typical CNN anchor.

I'm reality, even with England there are many variants of accents, let alone Wales, Scotland, and Ireland.

Meanwhile, we are well aware of southern, new England, new yorker, and other regional accents here, though we have weaker regional accents and dialects than the UK.
