Exactly what I was thinking. My new mouse has a clickless wheel and it makes pages jump sometimes.
 
You can't expect to get support when you post about firefox in OT because the sensitive fanbois get defensive.

The twitching has happened numerous time to me, altho it stopped after a while for some reason and I never found out what caused it. That issue and the issue of the page loading speed slowing down when extensions are added are two of firefox's biggest mysteries.
 
Look around on google for some firefox tweaks. I remember have some similar problem, and I ended up tweaking FF and it just...stopped. I don't know if that's why, but hey, it worked for me. =/
