Missing quite a lot of bands that helped form their genres, as well as missing several subgenres (and Folk metal as main genre! There's several sub genres of Folk metal, but no main!), but overall it's a very nice site 🙂

Do hope record companies won't whine about the songs and take down the site.

Edit: Those whiny guys from Metallica are there too with songs, so I guess the site will not last too long 🙁

I guess you never took the time to hear Metallica's side of why they did what they did. You should and maybe you would change your tune. I am sure they would embrace this site....and I will definitely be looking through it after I put up my Christmas lights.
 
I agree they are missing ALOT of bands... Mainly just wanted to post hoping some people might check out some stuff and open the minds a bit.

...90's, studios really started using strong unparalleled processors and computer software to enhance music.

look at techno/trance and 90's pop music. rock transformed over the 90's with this technology, ... and then we get more less traditional stuff - which ... to some people, sounds absolutely awful to them, lol.. but I don't care though, technology is technology, and whatever sounds good, sounds good^

Also, as for the tracks, they're just loading from Youtube. So, yeah they probably can get the music taken down, but I don't know that its likely. Are there any ads or anything?

Very cool site, you can even adjust the colors for wide gamut monitors.

Wish you could zoom out though.

and then to attribute ridiculously awesome name to them.


is it actually music based, or are these names simply based on regionally-related bands that garner their own genres within the genre?
 
Nice site. I did find it interesting that they listed Unblack Metal, but not Christian Speed Metal (primarily the 80s, early 90s).

Why is it that every genre needs hundreds of subgenres? like - No, this is not just "metal", this is new trash power goth metal! Or, this isn't "techno", it's hard dub minimal acid house!
