Spent the weekend watching season 1. I've heard a few things about the series so far such as they get off the island in season 3 and season 5 involves time travel. I also unfortunately read after finishing season 1 that the guy that stole walt is some guy named Tom (an "other"?) that dies in season 3.

I probably won't even read any of the responses in this thread because I don't wanna see any major spoilers.

i watched the very first episode when it aired years ago, and i thought it was pretty awful. i didnt watch again until that 2 hour last episode aired, and to be honest i was glad i skipped everything in between. i know a lot of people loved that show, but i still want my 3 hours back.

This, I didn't and I hated lost because I couldn't remember shit from season to season, even with their recap episodes.

I am so glad I stopped watching that show after a few seasons, it was getting really annoying when they kept popping different characters into parallel storylines. It's like they were just trying to create a series to confuse some people, and make others feel smart that they followed it so closely. To me it was just a waste of time.

Maybe if I watched it all in a couple of days I would have liked it more.

Ive heard about this and wondered what all the hub-bub was about, so I watched about 30 mins of the first episode when it was originally aired then 30 mins of the last episode on PVR.

I'm on the 5th season now and it's great. The 3rd was a bit weak IMO - lots of filler episodes - but it picks up. And Season 4 is pretty confusing until you realize what they're building up to.
