Just started playing electric guitar.. and fell in love with Santana's talent...

Wow.. just simply amazing. Even the poppy songs like Smooth & Game of Love have some amazing solos...

I think I know what direction I want to go with my electric guitar. Santana and his melodramatic solos are just beautiful. His notes are subtle and compliments the songs well yet they also become very powerful during the solo spot lights....

I guess I'm not too into the whole metallica and punk scene. I love listening to them but doesn't inspire me to learn and play them....

I currently own a Squier Telecaster FYI (budget Fender)

Santana is good. Listen to some Satrani or Vai to hear some killer licks too. I listen to mostly metal, but I have alot of respect for those guys.

Read correctly, it handles fine. I've been playing for about 4 months now? Got addicted like videogame and sometimes played 8+ hours a day. I can play 'Smooth' about 75% except he goes all crazy with his fingers.
