it was never stolen, just stashed away and forgotten about by people who intended to steal them.
Oh. So there's like some sort of expiration date on when something is no longer considered stealing?

I will never ever buy anything from Walmart. I even try to avoid looking at the place for the fear it will steal my soul like a seen from Chronicles of Riddick or something. Ya, the prices might be low but you will buy the item 3 times and spend more than if you would buy a quality product.
Um, yeah? I had my bike stolen as a kid. If someone called me and told me that my bike was found in the woods, I really wouldn't care. It was too long ago and I'd already bought a couple bikes since then. I'd tell them to have fun with it.Oh. It should be something like this:"Ok guys, WALMART cheer time!"
"F*CK THAT, I'm out."
Yup: The statute of limitations. :awe:Oh. So there's like some sort of expiration date on when something is no longer considered stealing?
I knew you were a tool with no sense of ethics, but this just takes the cake. Bravo!
Out of your own mouth. It's plain that you are not to be trusted. The fact that you knew you were buying stolen goods shows you have no ethics as has already been mentioned. The idea that stolen property somehow becomes free for the taking after a certain amount of time or, that because Walmart is a multi million dollar business that doesn't "care" about the petty pilfering, shows you have no concept of ethics or morality. Enough preaching, you lack the cognitive ability and the moral rectitude to profit from my teaching.?
ok, let's get back to my original post...
a guy was doing demolition at a store where the employees were stashing things above the ceiling tiles in order to steal them after they stopped carrying the item so the store wouldn't miss it.
the guy took them and was selling them on craigslist. i bought them. somehow, i'm a tool with no sense of ethics? are you kidding me?
did i steal the merchandise? no. did i buy stolen merchandise from the person who stole it? YES!
Fixed that for you
what, exactly, did i do that was unethical? i bought wwf wrestlemania for my nes from a guy who was selling it on craigslist. he told me about how he got it and why it was still in-box and in mint condition. he had a bunch of other stuff, too.
what would have been the mwtgg approved ethical response? "fuck you, man... that stuff's stolen. not interested! you should call walmart headquarters and ship it to them."
yeah... the largest multinational corporation with an, overall, 6th largest economy in the world, cares about items that went missing some 20 years ago.
eat a dick, you self-rightous bitches... yeah, i'm talking to you, too, magnus.

Did your friend purchase the merchandise? No
Did he suspect someone else stole it? Yes
Did he make any attempt to return the merchandise to Walmart? No
Did you know how your friend came into possession of the merchandise? Yes
Seems pretty clear cut to me and, I suspect, anyone with morals.
Crazy, I just started working temp for construction at my local walmart. What store are you at, maybe we're at the same one!
Kanalua said:By the way, be prepared for endless contradiction about the remodel. The WalMart managers would not let us use any equipment that was "too loud"...all of our pneumatic and power-tools were out...making the job a lot longer than it should have been...then the same managers who complained about the noise would complain about how long the project was taking!!!
