Sorry if I'm asking too many questions, just wanna make sure I do everything correctly. So here goes, specs:
CPU: AMD64 4000+
CASE: ATX Antec SLK3000B NOPS BLACK
MOBO: DFI Lanparty UT NF4 Sli-DR
HDD: 2x Raptor 10k RPM (RAID0)
VidCard: 2x 6800 Ultras
Psupply: 600W Enermax Noisetaker
Ram: Kingston KVR 400mhz DDR NO-ECC 2gig kit
Monitor: Dell 2405FPW
Extras:Zalman CNPS7000B-AlCu heatsink and a Vantec 120mm Stealthfan
Opt. drive:NEC 3520A
I'll be getting the system without windows installed, didn't wanna pay 200 bucks when I already have the OS from my other PCs. Anyway, I'd just like to know in which order to install drivers, I don't even know if it would make a difference, but better to be safe than sorry. This is what I had in mind, correct me if I'm wrong:
1. Windowsupdate.com critical fixes
2. Nforce4 mobo drivers (sound, ethernet, etc.)
3. Nvidia forceware from www.slizone.com
4. Misc drivers and program installations
Is that ok?
Also, I decided not to get a floppy drive since I do everything with my USB Mp3 player. But I've read that installing Raid drivers requires the use of a floppy, is that true? The store is supposed to handle the raid configuration, so I'm not too sure.
Thanks guys, I appreciate the help and sorry for the n00bie questions.
