The concept is very interesting, one phone number for the rest of your life. I got an NYC number even though I'm in MN.

I like how you can choose which ring tone the other end would hear when they call you, especially the voice tone. By the way, I thought I heard the voice mail from the creator that you can add music as voice tone. Does anyone here use grand central knows how do that?

Yeah, GC is great. My only complaint after about 6 months of use is that SMS messages don't get forwarded. However, I do understand the reason for this limitation.
 
I did that, but it seems they have stopped accepting new people right now except by invite only.

They should let me cash in all my gmail invites, lol.
 
It is free for non-commercial use. I signed up for it a month or so ago, received my number, and even tried it out a couple times. It's neat, but I never use it.
 
I signed up, thanks for the link. No idea what the advantage is other than when and if I ever change numbers, though. Guess I'll find that out later.
 
Still not quite sure what the purpose of this thing is, but I signed up. I guess I'll have to play with it a bit. 😛
