The computer is a Pentium IV 2.66GHz, 1GB DDR Ram, 20" LCD-Display, 1600x1200x32 resolution, Radeon 9700 Pro 128MB. This guy just played UT2003 with max details on 1600x1200x32. All I can say is hoooooooooooly moly. Never saw something like that before. No stuttering during heavy fights, nada. Just _perfect_.

/me makes a wishilst for x-mas :)

Hehe yah a 20'' LCD is like a 24'' CRT (except it weights 1/5th as much :Q ). Newer games like UT2k3 and games with bright colors don't exhibit any ghosting on newer panels, its been well-documented in a lot of the LCD threads. Older games like CS exhibit ghosting, particularly in dark settings. Its nothing that makes it unplayable. Newer games with dark colors like SoF2 don't exhibit ghosting, just slight tracing here and there.

Yup, the newer panels are better, but the even newer ones that are coming out will have even less of a problem. From what I've seen with the latest panels, they are "almost" there for me, but I'm so picky about my screens, I won't give up my CRT until it finally dies. By the time it dies (crosses fingers), I'll be able to get a similar sized screen at the same cost I paid for the CRT ($700 for top 'o the line 19").

The new Hitachi 17" LCD with 16ms response time is under $700 and has the same screen real estate as a 19" CRT.
