Yeap, one of my favorite movies in a long, long time. It's also kinda funny how they purposely kept all the running gags from previous Die Hards into this one.

The DVD will feature a R rated cut of the film. They are already working on it.

Why they did this and released a PG-13 cut in the theater I don't know.

I guess the more bodies they can put in the seats in the theater the better. Making it a R-rated movie will limit the profits....thats my assumption.

True, but it is a "Die Hard" movie. I would have expected it to be rated R. Although I haven't seen the film yet, a PG-13 just seems like it wouldn't do the film justice compared to the other 3.

One thing that scares me about the R rated cut is that they are going to CGI in some blood.

Cant stand Brucie, but glad the mac guy is getting another chance. Havent seen this yet and wouldnt, but will just to cheer on the mac guy. He was on leno (mac guy - good name) and I think we'll see a lot of him. Would be nice to give Tom H and Tom C a rest.

I don't think you'll miss the R rating. I saw this movie yesterday and it was simply amazing. I don't remember what the story was exactly and, frankly, I couldn't care less :) The action sequences were so un-Matrix-like that that alone made the movie worth watching. Bruce Willis looks surprisingly fitter in this movie than the first 3. It was an out-and-out fun movie and it didn't lag at any point of time. In some ways it was exactly like watching the first Die Hard movie while still being new and contemporary.

For those of you who are worried about the PG-13 rating, seriously don't. It doesn't affect the movie in anyway, and there's just as much killing, shooting and fighting as in other Die Hards. The only thing is that they cut out the actual blood and had the deaths "cleaner".

There's also absolutely no nudity, which even though dozens of people get killed and dismembered... is OK for a PG-13 rating. But that's a whole another discussion I don't want to even touch with a 10 foot pole.

I thought he was pretty decent, he played his role well. I have a lot more respect for him now outside of the "Mac guy" role. I just hope he isn't two-dimensional and gets constantly cast in those types of roles... kinda like that actor who played Napoleon Dynamite.
