Just saw someone test driving hyundai Tiburon! looks nice!

it was a white GT V6 version, she was driving really slow.. but the car looks really good.

the best looking korean car so far.

from the specs page Here!
it says 181hp.. i wonder what its 0-60 times and 1/4 times are?

but just for looks, it gets an A from me. i should test drive it soon. didnt know it was out yet.!!

edit, and here is the link for a WMV file sales pitch,

But it looked better in real life!

I saw it in person yesterday and though i never liked the original Tiburon this one actually looks very nice... sporty yet elegant. Add a touch of agressiveness and it's sure to hit the hearts of the target market 🙂

I wouldn't take SCC's numbers for real. They're a bunch of idiots. They even rated the 2k2 Maxima at mid-15's in the quarter mile. Even first time 2k2 Max dragsters can easily get 14.6 on it.

well.. i would think 181hp with 6gear shifter Should give u better time,, then again i know very little about cars anyways.

but damn it looked nice!
if i can get it for 1,6.5k down, it would be a DEAL!

The only fault with the car that I've heard is that the V6 is a bit too heavy
for the front of the car and causes some understeer issues. I personally
like it.

Bomberman, where did you get 9 secs? I thought it was high 7/low 8's?

Well, I don't really like Hyundai's much but I read Road and Track (I believe) and the V6 Tiburon can beat the Celica GT(S?) and Nissan Sentra Spec-R (wahtever its called) in 0-60. I know its not fair cuz the other cars are 4 cylinder.

Get an M3 instead? Might as well get a Porsche GT2! How can you even put a freakin Hyundai Tiburon in the same category as an M3? That's like... 40k difference? lol

Ewwwww. Do your eyes work? The Tiburon is probably the ugliest car I've ever seen. Yuck. I'm not a big fan of the reliability either.

By the way, I heard they used Ferrari designers to develop the looks, and like over $300 million to develop the rest of the car. What a waste of money!

I think it looks quite good - if I was in the market for a new car, I would certainly consider one.

The price is right, spec is good, and it looks good (although I think the original one was probably the nicest) and if previous results are anything to go by then reliability is likely to be rock-solid

I was looking at one of those at the dealer the other day. The MSRP (not invoice) was something around $20k. BUT, since it was so new and they would be receiving a *limited* quantity of them, they decided that a sticker price of $30,000 was more than fair. :Q It's nice, but for $30,000 you can get something better.

$30,000? hahahahaha

Looks like this one might get crossed of my list of contenders. The msrp of the base Tiburon is like $15,000

<< Bomberman, where did you get 9 secs? I thought it was high 7/low 8's? >>

Have no idea actually...A few reviews somewhere had it high 8's close enough to 9 to round up

0-60 in 7.1s with V6 and 6 speed. Got from Car and Driver.
$30,000 price is complete BS. C&D got theirs for $19,344.
