take some time to watch the gilmore girls. the dialog is amazing in that show. I love the play between the characters. not to mention lauren graham is totally smoking (lorelai on the show)

My girly suggested this movie for us (It was a double date with her cousin and her cousin's boyfriend and they wanted to watch) My girly ended up putting down the divider between our seats and putting her head in my lap and took a nap. I think it's because the movie is about the style of the comic book, and the artistic direction bored her.

She was the best thing about Sin City period.

I think the idea behind Hartnett's character was the fact that he was a charming assassin - a chameleon of sorts. He made himself fit into wherever he was, offered a smoke to his target, and then killed them. In the first scene, the girl didn't even suspect him, because that's how good he was at fitting in, with the tux and the charm. You would never think he was the guy sent to kill you. Compare him to the hitmen Marv kicks the crap out of - almost the exact opposite of "The Man" (the name of Hartnett's character.) The mere existence of a character like that is supposed to be scary.

The stuff with Josh Harnett was originally a "test" by the director. Frank Miller had been sitting on the rights for Sin City for years beause he didn't want Hollywood screwing up his stories. Rodreguez (sp?) did a almost panel-for-panel recreation of the short story shown at the beginning of the movie. He told Miller if he didn't like it, he at least had a little short he could show his friends. Miller liked it and sold the rights so R could make the movie.

Originally, Becky (the blue eyed hooker) was killed in the Sin City comic when the hookers killed everyone in the alley. The director put the scene at the hospital for symmetry. The Bruce Willis story was broken into two parts and ended very similarily. Marv's story had its' own symmetry. The Big Fat Kill with Dwight.... not really. So you could say the movie ended where it began, in a sense.

Well. There is a part where Bruce Willis rips out the Deformed Alien Fvcker's p3n15 off. There are some violent scenes but the blood isn't red. It's like white because the color is like a comic book.

On the DVD, they colorized many more objects, including some new blood. Just to let you know. (My brother noticed it after seeing the movie 3 times in theaters then on DVD.)
