Just saw "Scarface"

I can't buy the movie here in Switzerland so yeah, it took me sometime, I got me the DVD in America

the new release has better picture, as well as a bunch of extras - especially the limited edition, which comes with the original Howard Hawks movie from the 1930's as well...

I was going to say. I first saw this movie in 1987. It was more relevent then. Here we are 21 years after it was made and you finally watched it.

I watched it again recently being that I own the two tape VHS version. You notice different things everytime.

One thing I would have done was not let that dude anywhere near me after the first encounter. Those people are just stupid to let him take over like that.

The cocaine scenes were just insane, especially at the end.

I think its even better than Godfather series. The narration, Ray Liota... you just cheer for them. In the others its too boring.

And if you think Tony is crazy, Joe Pesci is ten times more nuts... laughed my ass off when the now guy in Sopranos was serving them then Pesci shot him.

The cocaine scenes were just insane, especially at the end.

Best is when he dips his whole face in a big pile of cocaine !

the new dvd release has dts sound. if your systems supports dts its awsome. when the dvd came out, they had it in the theaters again and i went to see it. it was amazing on a big screen.

also, scarface isnt a mob movie.

Check out Donnie Brasco if you like mob movies, I thought it was pretty good

I don't get what's so great about this movie....ya it was entertaining...but why do all the guys rave about it. I thought the acting was over the top at best

Cuz deep down inside lots of people fantasize about having such a life, going from nothing to everything just with your hard work, wits and street smarts. Also, there is *something* about the outlaw life, when you are above the law. This movie provided all those fanasies.
