At first I didn't understand the beginning and it took awhile to adjust to the more serious tone/animation but after that WOW. It's so touching and heart breaking yet at the same time brought so much closure to an awesome anime series. Totally whoops Evangelion IMO.

Definetely. I thought that was the only true way to end the Kenshin series. I don't want to offer any spoilers, so people who haven't see it definetely should watch!
Sanosuke was bad ass! So was Yahiko. :)

i agree with the sanosuke and yahiko being bad-asses. but i think they should have explained a little more during some parts. If you read the manga's you would understand a little more

Definetely. If you didn't read the manga you would have no idea what Jinchuu was. Which IMO was just about as good as the Kyoto arc.

It was a good ending but I didnt' like all the recap and lot of it was left undeveloped. But oh well, can't expect much from 1 hour. The managa sounds interesting, but I'm not that avid of an anime fan wehre im going to go learn Japanese, visit the country, and read the manga though.

Yeah Sanosuke was awesome. He definately grew up to resemble his boss. Yahiko was definately more mature but I didn't understand the deal with Kenji. Why would he learn Hiten Mistrugi from Kenshin's master? I thought each master can only have one student?

The seihousen episodes are definately a wrap up between the love of Kenshin and Kaoru. They rarely touch each other in the regular tv series so I guess these final two episodes are meant to explain everything. You can pick up the DVD for a mere $10-15 bux on Ebay so I definately suggest you guys to get it if you haven't seen it.

Good_guys, try to watch the Shi-shio saga. I gaurantee you'll love it. Through the 93 (or so) episodes of Kenshin, there are a few episodes that are pretty wack, especially in the beginning.

I'm guessing he learned Hiten because Kenshin couldn't teach him, and since Kenshin didn't finish off Hiko Soujiro when he learned the succession technique he's still alive. But then Hiko also says that Hiten will die with him. So he won't teach Kenji everything.

The Kyoto arc definetely was the best part of the anime. If they had only stayed with the manga instead of running off on a wild tangent the anime would have been even greater. There were a lot of filler eps in the first season. If they would go back and do the Jinchuu arc in anime style I would be happy ;)

Anyone know a good place to buy the whole Kenshin DVD series? I've seen a couple auctions on ebay for it but I'm afraid they're going to be the crappy VCDs type.

Thanks!

They've got it out under Samurai X in the US. Don't know if they have the original Japanese track on there or not. Probably do.

correct me if im wrong, but i think samurai X, is the ova's.

they do have the kenshin series on DVD, and they're still called rurouni kenshin. all episodes up until episode 90 should be out at around 8/27/02

Yeah I think you're right. Though every time I saw the DVDs in Fry's or other stores I only saw "Samurai X" so I just thought that was the title they used for the series also.
