Anyone who thinks that is a great movie obviously has never worked in a research lab. The suspension of disbelief required to believe you can find a monkey and cure the world in an hour is ridiculous...

<< BTW, CKDragon, Spacey had a smaller role in this movie than the others; that's why you probably don't remember him. >>

Thanks jjones and gopunk, thanks for the info. I didn't doubt he was in it, just couldn't remember the role. Now I want to go back and watch it again 🙂

you know, it doesn't have to be realistic to be a good movie. some of us like movies for their entertainment value...

I've worked in a research lab (biochem/entomology) for the federal government for the past 5 years, and I find the movie very enjoyable. Of course it's not realistic, it's a goddamn movie!

I agree, but this movie required an absurd amount of suspension of disbelief that for me kind of ruined the movie. That isn't always the case for me though - just this movie in particular...

Since when did movies had to be 100% realistic? You probably had a heart attack watching Commando or Rambo. 😉

If you liked the movie i think you should read the book The Hot Zone...it seems like outbreak is based on it, but the book is way better and tells of 3 seprate incidents that occoured...its really good stuff, more graphic then the movie even though its writing! 🙂

Nope - loved them. I just have a harder time suspending my disbelief when the movies premise is far fetched and relates to my undergraduate degree...
