Cool. He was leaving right when my wife and I were settled in our booth.

I said to my wife, "I think that's LL cool J over there."

I didn't think more of it since who's to expect it?

Lo and behold it was. Our waitress was all giddy she met him.
 
You should've walked up to him and said something.

I wouldn't have known what to say, but c'mon, the chance to make a friend like that would be worth it.

That's about as close as I've come to running into celebrities out & about.

Well, pretender, the thing was that I said it was him, but I couldn't be absolutely sure.

He's from Queens originally, so I guess it wasn't a stretch for him to be in Garden City, LI.
 
LOB, where do you live? that's awesome... we don't get many celebrities running around upstate New York, although when I went to the city I met over 30 because I was on a field trip with my Communication arts class so we got to go into studios and meet all the guests and anchors, just a few where Jason Sehorn, Richard Dreyfus, and two cast aways from the survivor casts.

I was maybe 15-20 feet away, and had been seated for about a minute, when he was up in front just leaving.

I kinda matter-of-factly just said to my wife, &quot;Look, I think that's LL Cool J.&quot; And he left.

I know, I'd have just said hello if I had the chance again.

On a sidenote...

I used to see Run from Run DMC all the time years ago, I used to work at the racetrack. He liked to bet.
 
I once met and got a picture/autograph with LL Cool J. It was a while ago, at a HARD ROCK CAFE in New York.

And I once saw Halle Berry. She was write next to me in ATL (I think she was married to David Justice at the time, and he was with the Braves.) Might have said something to her, but was buzzin, and didn't want to make an a** of myself.


Alright, that's my claim to fame.

A long time ago I saw Hulk Hogan at the airport in LA; that's the only time I've seen someone famous before.
 
A few years ago I saw Danny Glover at an A's/Giants spring training game. I was only 5-6 feet away from him. My grandfather used to be really good friends with a famous actor that was in a bunch of cowboys and indians movies in the 50's and 60's. When I was really young, my grandfather or dad would take me to his ranch and he let me ride his ponies.
 
My girlfriend saw him walking around near the Beverly Center mall in Beverly Hills a couple of months ago. Her friend recognized him...my GF didn't even know who he was. She's more of a Snoop Dogg girl, I guess. 🙂
 
Woah, this reminds me, I work for a credit card company taking apps over the phone, ok, this woman and her older father call in, the father wanting to apply for a card. Well, the guy's last name was Drescher, and his daughter was...Fran Drescher! YES, it was her. Wierd. I remember her dad's email address too, but i dont care for her anyways, just thought it was cool.

weird al was sitting right in front of me when i was at a taping for the show &quot;who's line is it anyway&quot; or whatever that show's called hehe. i got an autograph for my brother too.
 
Hung out with Master T from Muchmusic up here in Canada for a night, that was interesting, got the pics to prove it 🙂...
also hung out with the Rascalz breakdancers, really cool guys 🙂..no pics, but I'll try and get some next time I see em,
and last but not least, drove Baby Blue Soundcrew around in my car, now was that an interesting night...but yea, not much else to say, other than a met Danielle Igali, Olympic wrestling Gold Medalist, will be meeting him again soon on July 11th - 15th

😀..I hope to meet Choclair and a few others this summer.

Chrissie Hynde from the Pretenders was drinking at the same bar as me in Akron Ohio one night.
 
Met a few Hong Kong singers at the airport. Once, they were standing behind me in line at the food court in Los Angeles and Once in New York. Met a whole bunch at concerts.

Met Iverson at Dave &amp; Buster. Asked him how he was doing when he walked over to the bar. He sez he's not Iverson. Ya right, whatever. He got a drink, finished it, and left when we did. He was driving this shiny spankin Benz.
