Just saw Kill Bill Vol.2 on DVD. Rating inside.

I give this baby 2/5 Stars. I would recommend watching it just to see what happens at the end. Then throw it as far away from yourself as possible.

In comparison, Vol.1 got 4/5 Stars.

i'll forward this to the ny times. i'm sure they're dying for a nothing review from a nobody after the dvd is out.

Volume 2 was great.

I hate that they're dicking us around with the DVD's, though. I'm refusing to buy volume 1 or 2 on DVD until they give us something other than a barebones release (mostly because I know it'll happen eventually, and then I'll be stuck with 2 copies of the same movie).

I'll be sure to review movies when I see them earlier next time. And maybe give some really nice spoilers along with it.

I've stopped buying DVDs all together because I know this supreme HDTV Extra Creamy Version Not Released Out Of Your Mother's Womb Until She Was 60 is going to come out again and again. F it, I'm not paying for the same F-ing movie with better quality, or more features.

Volume 2 >> Volume 1
Volume 1 just had way too much lame sword fighting, which wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't so obvious that uma thurman had no skills at it.

Hopefully Hero is any good. If I have to hear that dried up hack Uma Therman say "Kill Bill" one more time...... So help me god.

Hero is a rerelease of a chinese film called Ying xiong , and tarantino is the 'presenter'.
His next film (writer/director) is Inglorious Bastards, due ot in '06.
He is also producing another 2006 movie called Hell Ride.

Presenter:
AKA: Presents
A presenter is person (often famous or well respected) who introduces a movie or show on screen or via voice-over. Some films include a credit "Presented by", or "presents", which indicates the person is an executive producer as opposed to someone who appears in the film.

I didn't think he would be able to make that film, the previews look to good to be his work. Also how would he work Michael Madsen in to a chinese film. hehe.

It's interesting, and I just noticed this the other night, Michael Madsen has only been in Reservoir Dogs in 1992, and then the Kill Bill movies, 11 and 12 years later. Other than that he hasn't worked with tarantino.

/edit:
Madsen has been cast in Inglorious Bastards, too.

The only part I liked in Kill Bill 2 was the the training scene... the old asian dude (Pai Tei?) was great. The whole beginning was good too, but as far as the last half hour goes it pains me to watch.

Hero is an awesome film, I'd recommend it to anyone. It also has nothing to do with QT, which is a plus for me. 😀

Vol 2 was 1000x better than Vol 1. Anyone who didn't like Vol 2 has ADHD and needs action all the time to pay attention to a film.

I didn't really like either of them.

The first one was just Tarantino stroking his own ego and the second one didn't pay off enough to cover the first one.

both were awesome movies, i say you're all on crack.

Exactly. They both rock.

Also Hero is good too. I have had the Chinese DVD for a while now. I think the movie was released in China in like 1999 or 2001. It's not just a pure straight action movie. It's the kind of movie that makes you think.
